Is it not time that a 890 issues tread is started where all the issues other than the cams issues can be noted by 890 owners with issues . . . i clearly have issues . . . :cool:

Although understandably there is a big focus on the moment of the failing cams i definitely would want us to get to a point where all the issues with these bikes have been acknowledges/addressed by KTM. If there are more guys that needed shims before the manual's 30000kms then KTM must tell us...

Hi AdvGramps very good news that your cams are all good (y) 👏. But not such good news for finding a cause and solution for the 790/890 gemors🤔 Is it possible that you can push your dealer to get a formal response from KTM why your valve clearances ended up tight at these kms's?

One of the things that always stood out for me when we would go to Lesotho, Zim or Mozambique is how much you appreciated South Africa once u were back. Really felt like you experienced Africa. . . now it is all the same . . . :unsure:

On the BM i will very carefull as the motor is build by the same people that builds the very explosive KTM motor . . . The Jaarnajaar you gonna need much more than some valving to keep the sump from breaking rocks on our dirt roads. . . The Honda is a very dangerous bike as many people have...

In what format would we be able to force KTM to make available their cam shaft sales and backorder numbers for the 790 and 890 and 901 camshafts? There must be a very clear story there ?

Eish i think i must stop coming here. . . From what i read and have heard some dealers responded it seems i have bought a bike that: You turn the key and then go and make urself a cup of coffee DONT push the button immidiately. Needs a centre stand because i should not start it on the sidestand...

The one i will never forget is the one where they were on a trip and stopped at a garage somewhere and Howie stoppped and speedily made his way past them on his way to the toilet and commented that the "turtle is poking his head out of the shell"

Hi i wear an XL so the size is not the problem. It is just that i am used to a Shoei helmet that is not round it is a bit oval for my ovally face. This helmut is also more round like a Arai it is for round heads. . .

Eish ya but remember there has been many riders hurt on AT's already. . . They have fallen asleep while riding . . .
