Mildlywild, a backup vehicle has its pro's and con's. I don't use a buck-up vehicle on my trips, not even on my guided trips, it takes the adventure out of adventure biking  :biggrin: (but that is just my opinion) However if I was you I would trailer the bikes from Cape to Mountain Shaddows...

MildlyWild, I have a lot of awesome tracks for you in the Elliot/Rhodes area. I suggest to leave at least one or two days open for the area between Elliot and Matatielle. Then on the return leg you exit Lesotho at Telle bridge and do the awesome Landene's neck, War-trail and Carlieshoek pass...

Since we can't ride in Lesotho anymore because of Covid we had to find other playground. So we went to the eastern Free State and did some exploring,  what we found blew us away. The timing was also just right, the world is beautifully green after all the good rains. 3x Riders on 3x KTM 500'S...

The only "pass" is the road up Ramatselitso  to the border post. I will not call it a pass, more like a few easy zig zag turns. And then once in Lesotho also no real pass, just a few ups and downs on a great gravel road. The only very small concern is that they are busy tarring the road just...
