A day in the workshop ...

Borrowed money (I think R8000) and bought my first bike after I started working a year or so after matric, around '99/2000. Yamaha XS750 triple, late 70's model so already about 20+ years old at the time, but it was all I could afford back then. Was my pride and joy like you can't imagine...

    Top Box....Pros and Cons?

    De Vlugt and another gem.

Wanted LF : Summer "Gauze" Jacket

Aggressive mid-size ADV bike tyres. What do you like?

Bridgestone Battlax Adventure AX41. On my second one (rear), I love them. Previous one gave more than 6000km without any punctures.

(Sorted) Desert Fox 12 V Compressor not working

Also look into the Hella of sigaret plug (whichever you have) for a loose connection, as well as inside the end cap where the switch sits. Sometimes the wires might rub through or become loose. That end cap must also not be screwed in too deeply, years ago I had a problem where I turned the...

Where has your bike taken you today?

Sunday afternoon ride with my eldest - such a blessing to be able to share my love of motorcycles with my boys to go visit my parents. (The youngest took the bike on the way back home, they share the XR125 at the moment). Maybe for once in my life I should follow my dad's advice - get another...

    Tooltube re design...

In my view that way of fixing it with two single points on the bashplate side, with the force being up and down, creates a high bending load on the bolts. Is it not possible to change to a more saddle-like design (using 4 bolts in total)?

Waar lê die Boesmanland? Kan jy vir my sê?

Nou't ek ver en lekker saamgery, dankie Amos. Net een fout as ek mag kritiek lewer, jou rit was te kort. Ek wil nog lees.

    WALLET AND THINGS

I did the tap-with-your-phone thing for a while, actually works great but once in a while for some reason it doesn't work, maybe network/loadshedding related? So I'm still not confident to leave the bank card at home, plus I carry my drivers licence, medical card, ID, etc in my wallet anyway, so...

    Riding the Himalayas - Live

OK so the next WD Bash will be in the Himalayas? Just kidding, but something like this will be awesome if we can get a few of us Dogs over there for some riding? Count me in.

    The new soutie

The Nefdt's from Vleiland, west of Gamkaskloof, used to visit The Hell/Gamkaskloof via "Die Leer" quite frequently back in the day. Unless I'm mistaken it was a Nefdt who carried the first Dover coal stove on his shoulders down into the valley. Not sure if Oom Jorsie Nefdt is still alive in...

Sold Yamaha T7 - Price drop

Interested. Will send PM during the morning. Edit: sorry didn't see the location. If this was in the WC things would've been different! Sorry, GLWTS.

    Spot the location!

With all those green one can easily mistake that area for that river crossing at Grootrivierpoort/Antoniesbergpas.

Would you? Trade ATAS for T7?

Thanks, it'll be the ultimate but just those service intervals, apparently every 10 hours or 1000km? I thought the 125's every 4000km was short!

Would you? Trade ATAS for T7?

Thanks yes that's another option if money allows! Getting something like a 250 or 300L so that the boys and I can all go ride together some gravel back roads, but it's also something I can enjoy when we get to the rougher stuff.
