I was in love with the DCT. I was privileged to ride both models for n few 1000 kms. It is a VERY capable bike, but in hind sight, as much as I love an automatic car, I wont buy an automatic bike.

Do a search on Subie's RRs. He did quite a few trips via the Molopo to Verneukpan. Lots of gravel from Makgobistad all the wat to Upington. Check out Khamkirri close to Kakamas. Lovely lodge with camping facilities, however it might be a bit outof your way. From Kakamas you can hit the dirt...

Thanks for the pics Kamanya. That person in the pic is not me. It was a great Bash that blew out at another venue, and we ended at up at Hein's farm. I remember that Grrrr.... tried his best to get a couple married that night, but he couldn't get the crowd's attention,  not even with VaalBaas...

I had both the AT manual and Dct for a few 1000kms. I really loved both, but I was hooked on the 850 when I took it for a testdrive. If I was in the market for a new bike, it would be the BM, but I recon its a matter of personal choice.
