It is better that you don't and then donate some parts to the needy.

I was going to drop the oil as well, so I started the bike, ran it for a minute, just to heat up the oil inside the casing.  I was not sure how much oil was in the motor, so I did not want to run it for too long.  I removed the sump plug, no oil came out, just a greasy paste.  O well *shrug* ...

The carb situation is really bothering me, it really does not work optimally, so I pulled it off and starter over, cleaned jets, float bowl, put all overflow pipes on and gave it a brass brush polish.  I also ordered this complete assembly.  The idea is to not use the carb, only the good bits...

Last night was a good night.  The Acetic acid bath did a great job.  I decided against the building sand sanding/polishing idea; it was good enough, ... for now.

It will probably start, run, I will ride around the block, feel all chuffed with myself and then it will stand there in my garage, unrestored... forever.  I am bad at finishing things.  At least I will make it run properly. Tonight I will replace the oil, fix the leak in the carb's tap and...

The rear had a flat and I really wanted to see what the condition of the rims was on the inside.  The outside did not install a lot of confidence.  I lubed the tyre with lots of silicone spray, because the tyre is cracked and brittle and I did not want to damage it with the tyre levers...

Cleaned the chain in diesel and scrubbed the rest of the parts with petrol  Everything is in surprisingly good condition.  The chain was a bit manky, but after a good clean I think it can last for a while.  Brake shoes also had some life left.

I decided to clean and service the drive train, brakes and mostly to see if the rims are rusted beyond repair.  Removed the drive trail is super simple with the center stand of this little bike. I was very surprised when I took the wheel out and see that this bike has a cush drive?!  I am not...

Most things on the Vuka XL110 are ****, REAL ****.  The first Vukas that came into SA, had Japanese made Keihin carbs, but the carb does not fit so lekker and I wanted to keep the original.  I used o-rings, the choke(work in progress).  I will start fixing the tap(leaking badly tonight). Good...

When this is done, I will fill it with building sand and wet-sand it with an old can of Q20(gas escaped) mixed in. Then a diesel wash(I have old diesel in Jerrycans), just to stop it from rusting immediately.  The vinegar trick is great and it works amazing, but it will rust in minutes if you...
