I like KTM more and more these days - I have received good service from them.

Thanks for the advice, Dennes Engineering looks like they know what they are doing. 

I have reduced the scooter bike to a heap of scrap! Anybody know of somebody that does sand/bead/vapor blasting in Killeraney gardens?  I would like a one stop shop. It needs to be a responsible blaster, since the bike is very rusted/thin in some places. I also need some parts chromed...

Selfish bump, again.

For the colour scheme, I think I am going with a metallic charcoal, some black(exhaust and hubs) and chrome finishes with brown leather seats. Something like this.

So I am really bad with finishing things as well as extremely good at taking things apart, a real kak combination.  To force myself to finish this project, I splashed on some brand new OEM plastics and ordered some new rims, totalling R4k.  I am going to have to sell 1. a steering...

And that is the whole bike, on a small cabinet. 

With the motor out, I dropped the oil again and started to do some proper inspection(should have done that on the bike).  Somebody removed one of the stator cover's boots. Nice, a big hole.  Now I know where there was only sludge for oil. Cleaned the motor up a bit and it is actually not...

Worked a bit more on the bike, started stripping and assessing the major rust spots and it does not look great.  The guard/subframe is also warped, but that will be sorted easily. Also toying with the idea of a modified Vuka exhaust... hopefully this idea does not see the light of day.  I think...
