I rebuilt the middle/end section of my XRR header pipe. Cut 101 pie sections of stainless pipe and after a fair bit of fiddling, tig welded it at home. You're welcome to take a ride up to Howick and come have a look for yourself. Happy to help[emoji482] Sent from my EML-L09 using Tapatalk

its always better to have the part you need welded removed from the bike. Then you know the current from welding isnt going to interfere/fry your bikes electrics. Or set fire to it  :eek7: :eek7:

So my wife and I are in the process of buying a small plot of land to build our house. And needless to say, that in never having done such a thing, its proving to be a very steep learning curve , and the horrors of mounting costs at breakneck speeds is somewhat alarming. But we are keen to see...

My budget is around R10-R15k. Would be nice to have a fancy setup but for what I need it for,its not worth the extra 30k. I had thought about converting a milling machine to cnc but I don't have the space. I had a look last night and with a bit of a shuffle, I can have a footprint about 700x700...

I am looking to get a cnc router for home use as a learning tool for cnc machining at work. is it better to make your own or buy a 'ready made one/plug in and go' type setup? any recommendations or caveats are most welcome

So who has one... used one... cant live without it??? I bought one today from a chap down the road, practically new by the looks of it :deal: :deal: And I have just the job for it to try it out. Planning on making a welding fixture plate with a heap of tapped  holes for clamping etc.
