There is a guy on one of our cape riding groups that had a 850 engine rebuild at 29k. Apparantly he is not the only one. Maybe they were just unlucky. Might be statistically insignificant. I love my 800gs, but this has enough of a stink for me not to upgrade.

I use Tech Wash and TX Direct from Nikwax. Tech wash to clean. TX Direct to waterproof. Just follow the instructions on how to clean your washing machine first.
