    FREEZING B&LLS OR NOT ?

I use these when I work in the arctic, light and compact, air activated and they stay warm for ages. I checked a while ago and they were available locally as well.

SANI PASS THIS WEEKEND, 4-5 MARCH

It's fine - it's a rough steep road, so it will depend entirely on your skill, but there is no reason for any bike not to make it up. Mornings are generally easier, as the wind and rain can pick up later in the day, and obviously storms etc. play a part, but if you can ride, and you take it...

    Helmets..... your thoughts!

I was wearing an Arai TX4 when I crashed my bike - it was head on into a taxi, a really solid hit. Every single surgeon I've seen has at some stage asked me what helmet I was wearing - my body was ******, my head survived... Just for interests sake, the outer shell of the Arai was cracked /...

    Rhino Peak Round Two

It was a fantastic ride. I look out at the route from my desk every day, so was really looking forward to it. The ride up Sani was uneventful, but spectacular as usual. The first few paths after the end of the "road" at Sani Stone Lodge made me a bit nervous, but I quickly settled down and was...

SANI PASS THIS WEEKEND, 4-5 MARCH

Honestly, it depends on the year and the snow. Last year there was only snow late in the season, and nothing down here. the year before, June / July we had snow, and it was iced up from before then. I'll probably give it a go in the snow this year, just to see if I can. I rode it yesterday...

SANI PASS THIS WEEKEND, 4-5 MARCH

Hey, I didn't get to ride it, but am doing it this weekend. It is in good condition at the moment though, the usual problem is the loose shale /rocks on the top switchbacks, which aren't currently a problem..

    Old WD member down

Big surgery is good - with mine they would only do it once they were sure that I would survive all the other crap, and once I was mentally stable enough to make a decision (y) It's probably the most painful surgery I've ever had, but at least from here it can all be classed as recovery...
