The 300L will bore the hell out of you after riding a KTM 500.

Then it is/was not anodizing. Anodizing actually colours the outside layer of the metal so the "coating" itself cannot chip unless the actual metal has a chip or gouge in it.

I also think they are powder coated and not anodized. Anodizing cannot chip.

Hard to tell from the photos but those look like stone chips. Unfortunately you get those from riding on tar as well. I'll rather not post photos of my rims after this...
