I am going to have to disagree with you. The way a bike carries it's weight makes a big difference. Yes of course the lighter the better but the balance and geometry plays a major role.

Nah, it would probably be up there with road riding as well. It is much more expensive though.

I have to admit I like this bike a lot! I think it looks aawesome. With that said I think if they managed to bring it down 20kg it would have been great.. Even then it would not be a featherweight but it would be a damn lot better.

I think the reason for the g450x's failure was all the innovation/unconventional aspects of the bike that people were not convinced of. BMW also tried to sell it as a dual-sport bike and people were not buying it. I think if they made it today it would probably sell better if it was priced close...

Why would you think this would happen? It is a serious question. I fail to see the comparison between the two.

My son has a DRZ 125 with a silly linkage shifting mechanism. This can be replaced with a DR200 shift lever from what I read. I am looking for one as the idea of going to Suzuki Toy Store to order one gives me nightmares.

If it is the ones from EMD, they are pretty decent.
