I think the original question was what oil/lube to use not how to get it in there??? I remember old cables that used to have a sleeve over the inner and you were not supposed to oil them, After a year or so the sleeve would come loose, and you would throw the cable away.

And the can of cable lube spray?

I think Q20, WD40 and TIAC are all the same thing. My dad used to have a cable oiler that you filled with engine oil and attached to a bicycle pump to force the oil down the cable.

I dont think so. The 4v is a bit faster. 2V gets 126, 4v 134. Was looking at a big bore kit from India which comes with a new CAM and ECU.

I drilled the 2 drain holes and fitted 2 x grease nipples and occasionally give it a squirt. That was 10 years ago. Will find out if it made any difference when one day I disassemble it.

Just fit a short length of the smaller clear pipe over the pump fitting then slide bigger pipe over everything and then use the jubilee clip?

we drive the same polo and I have been doing my own servicing for the last 6 years. This includes a coolant flush every 2 years. My coolant is still red and there is no brown rust deposits. Looks to me that this has not been done at all in this vehicle, which will lead to a blocked radiator core...

I know where a KLE500 is sitting unloved and I think some parts are useable wheels etc??
