I had to replace mine at +- 20 000 kms. I saw some debris when I cleaned the screens while changing the oil - telltale sign that you need to replace. (2006 TE 610)
I went thru on 10 April and the road was in a good condition. One section of couple of hundred meters slightly rutted due to recent rain, but nothing that you and a piliion won't be able to handle!
I became the proud owner of HHHusky's bike. I added a long range tank and a Lynx fairing. (see pic's)
Done several trips - weekend and a long trip. The bike is very reliable and loads of fun to ride. After 20 000 kays, I am still as happy as ever with the bike.
Good luck with yours!
Imagine using the Husky Nuda spec motor in the BM... :drif:
OR
Getting the Husky in off-road spec :drif: :drif:
From www.motorcyclenews.com
It uses the same frame as the BMW F800 GS and a bigger 898cc version of its parallel twin-cylinder engine. It produces 105bhp and 74ftlb of torque
Now for the benefit of the GP's (Poepol's of Gangsta paradise) - where is this stunning piece of earth? Near Elliot?
I feel like packing for thatroad now!
Can't agree more!
BUT
In my experience Primrose is just as bad as your CPT dealer. They are stuck in the 80's and customer service is something they haven't heard of (yet). Try and get any accessories for your TE610 from them....they don't even stock Husky stickers or a Husky T-shirt!
Surely you can't call a bike that requires an oil change every 1000km's a duelsport/adventure bike?
Pack enough oil and filters for 3 changes when going on a decent trip!
I can't answer that one - haven't used the TKC long enough, but initial impressions are that the grip on tar is good, maybe better than D606. I have heard from guys that the life of the TKC is excellent, one guy reporting more than 10 000km's
