I will suggest you do the run in the opposite direction than expats attempt. To exit out of the river will very difficult. The other direction is easy in comparison. I add a few pictures of the road on road on the "other side" (north east)

We did that piece of road 2/3 weeks ago and it was spectacular - but beware, there was one very washed out section. See pictures
