Usually heat.. they get used to the airflow, some guys skip it all together and just go with open face helmets

Ive never heard of those helmets unlatching in a crash.. i suspect that is ironed out in R&D when they are designed but I have heard of and seen guys crash with them unlatched when they crash and its not pretty
