Also... Forgot to add... The standard G/S runs a 37/11 ratio diff. I'm running a 33/11 diff on this one. Which means a proper top end. Gearbox is being overhauled at the moment. Also fitting shorter 1st gear and longer 5th gear. So I think no problem getting to the dirt in time.

Felt like yesterday I started the first one... And number 15 done!! Don't comment on the colour.  :deal: Not my choice of colours.. I just painted it. It's my old man's bike and he wanted cadillac blue. I was against it.. But must admit,  it's getting quite a bit of positive feedback...

Sticking with original front end  for a few reasons. Keep the rims matching. (if it had spokes.. I'd be tempted.) I will sell this one once done,  so I must keep the costs realistic. A modified front end can such your budget dry quickly. I'm keeping it old school. I have a set of R80 G/S...

I hope so WF!! Unfortunately I can't draw at all... So only way for me to see the possibilities,  I have to mock it up. Which is fun anyway. Just eats time. Plan is.. So far...   Satin /matt beige bike,  with silver frame,  silver paint inserts,  silver black engine (done) ,  and some being...

Hell yeah. Inspiration always welcome. As tempted as I am to do my own thing.. I'm going to try stick to the plan of building a replica.

Think I'll to with the last pic tank and seat. Seat will be shortened and made to fit the tank. Decided on slightly longer seat to accommodate a pillion. Knop tyres fitted.  Like!

Bought a '83 mono shocker airhead for a project. But was in "perfect condition"  but only dismantled. Yeah right....!! Luckily saw through the seller. Opened the motor and found a mess. New heads,  barrels,  pistons and controls inserted. The rest checked out and fine... But decided to do...

Our own in house artists,  Howard,  painted this. Damn! He's good. Ipad next to it for comparison of real pic. One carb refurbished.  One to go!

Tank will be here this week. Brand new! 40 odd litres. Damn.. Bought this yr only to get the front end. Rest sold in a day! Back wheel,  final drive,  drive shaft,  shocks,  engine,  1000cc bits,  frame,  almost all here!

Need I say more?? The holy airhead. I have to have.
