We were there in September and the road was in good shape. The nasty Railway stones normally used under the tracks have been used in places to repair the road and requires cautious riding to avoid cutting a tyre. awesome views and amazing engineering of the tunnels.

Pay the guy Spiekman, lets go fetch it this weekend.
