A BMW G450 X could possibly tick quite a few boxes - 450cc, can OFTEN be had for under R40K, spares are indeed available, and the motor is pretty bomb-proof, esp run in 'low power' mode. I own one, there are plenty of naysayers re this bike, and yes, the bike was discontinued after just 3 years...

Some clever (if long-winded) ideas for cleaning in a plastic bottle inside of the U/S cleaner; seems to be the SAME model; as you say, these are likely house-branded by many, many companies... (these actually do work). I know @Buff has experience with using ultrasonic cleaner(s)... Chris
