Earlier this week got a call from a friend in town. There is a moerse snake stuck in some birdwire in their garden. Found this Boomslang and he was huge. Had to get sidecutters to cut the wire trapping the snake.. Did not get a good pic as he was too fast when I went to release him.

Pair of fiscal Flycatchers breeding in an old milk can hanging on our stoep. 3 babies in that nest/can. They are quite tame - no worries if we are on the stoep.

So Monday morning it was the "Bloukop Koggelmander" (Southern Rock Agama) in the pool and on Tuesday it was this gecko. Just glad I could save both.

Rescued this guy from the pool yesterday. Hanging onto the Kreepy pipe. Took about 10 minutes in the sun and he was good to go!

@tok-tokkie - No it is not a solifuge. It is 2 Rain spiders (Palystes Superciliosus). Here they are just a few minutes later that same day.

These little guys are out and about now. found at every outside light at night, waiting for moths etc.

Rock Martins in their nest on our stoep. Mom dad and the little ones all together. They have been using this nest for at least 6 years now. Raise 3 little ones every year. Quite tame too - does not bother them if we come close to the nest.

Monday afternoon heard the dog bark at the back door. Went to look and found this guy on it's way into the kitchen. I closed the door and fetched the kit to catch the bugger. This one was quite aggressive!. They seem to be quite early this season. Fortunately the Anatolian sheperd dog is clever...

Great report Ernst. Daai Swartberg was laas week dik gesneeu. Maandag op pad terug van Odn af was dit 32 Grade en die berg wit gesneeu.
