A pair of Rock Martins have been breeding on our stoep for the last 3 years. 3 babies every time. This is this year's crop. a week ago they poked their heads above the nest and today they were all out and sitting on one of the pillars with mom.

Got a call today to come catch a snake - Peeps worried about their kids and dogs when they saw this "huge" snake just outside their back door. So turned out to be not such a "huge" snake but a harmless Karoo Sand snake. Beautiful specimen. (Psammophis notostictus)

@EssBee Road condition is very good. They did some extensive repairs a while back. Worth taking a ride as the veld is just beautiful after all the rain

One of 3 little Hoopoo's born in our loft this spring. the parents have been coming back to this same nest for at least three years. 3 chicks every year. this guy left the nest 2 days ago.

@Mikie I would guess it was about 60mm from front toe to back toe. Dont see them around here too often. Previous one I saw was twice as big
