    Fully Loaded Yamaha T7

Changed the front suspension. It now has a mid valve. Allows you to ride a bit harder in the more tricky stuff without loosing the front end. Electrically I modded the ABS (by cutting a wire). Now when you stop the bike with the red kill switch the ABS will remain off.

Next up, suspension. This was actually the first thing I did on the bike, so didn't take pictures. When I make some shim updates I'll take pics again. Changed the rear shock spring to a 90nm Changed the front fork springs to 6.5nm Made up a tool to disassemble the front forks The front forks...

Next up was to change the handle bars. Stock was too high for me. It makes it difficult to turn the bike when sitting and also not so lekker in attack mode, again just too high. I'm 6ft in case you were wondering. I used the pro-taper steering damper low. Almost the same sweep, and of course...

My Road to Dakar 2023 (Malle Moto)

Hey man ... Kalahari Rally 2021 was a qualifier for Dakar. Besides that, you don't necessarily need to do a ASO event to qualify. Quite a few guys have made the entry without it. The key factor is that you can show that you can navigate and that they won't need to babysit you.

    Yamaha T700 Adv Build

In order to create a little bit more space on the bike for tools, I moved the fuse boxes around. One gets tucked on the LHS side of the battery and the other one sits loosely so it can be moved to below the level of the battery. This allows for a tool kit to fit above the battery along with a...

    Yamaha T700 Adv Build

On the comfort side, I picked up a set of wider pegs from Flying Brick for the T7. To help with fitment use a cable tie to compress the spring (clamp the cable tie in a vice and then pull the spring together)

Next up a mod for the gas tank lid. A little annoying that you have to find a place to put it when fueling up. I found this on thingiverse and printed it out. Works like a charm.

A well know mod on the seat ... which is to turn around the seat mounts. Which means you no longer have to undo the screws to get the seat off.

Next up is a yellow headlight guard. I like to have a different colour as it stands out when going through traffic. I picked this up from Flying Brick. I however cut off the bottom section, as I didn't quite like how it wrapped around the headlight.

The standard cat is still left in the header, so its not super loud, but its loud enough. The exhaust also has a baffle that you can take out / leave in.
