I normally use SHIELD SHEEN DASHBOARD SPRAY, works great and dust does not stick to it.  Spray on and wipe off with a soft cloth. And it smells nice.  :thumleft:

I have the In Reach mini - it has two way text communication to any cell phone in your contact list on your phone, which you pair with the mini.  It makes use of the same Sat network as a Sat phone so coverage should be the same.  Various subscription options available but for my occasional use...

Some observations. I’d go with metal poles, not fiberglass which tend to break. Also check the tent schematics for size. An extra 15cm head room makes a hell of a difference when you are trying to get dressed in the tent or want to sit upright. And lastly the vestibules at either or both end...

Yes, it has the ground sheet built in as part of the mesh tent.  I use an old army ground sheet under mine just because I like to keep it clean.

I have this exact same tent - it has been with me down the Orange river on a rafting trip, sleeping two comfortably.  I now use it for my bike trips and generally sleep one with lots of space for all my kit.  What I like is the small size it packs up to as well as the fact that you do not have...

I would say definitely a Wendy, there are some really nice furnished, on-suite builds available.  Sure the wife won't mind and should be comfortable enough - no divorce required.  It's a win and you get to keep the bike.  :imaposer:
