Everyone who has a hole in their arse is a bike mechanic, I wonder if one gets a manual for other professions or trades.

It's a pleasure Andrew! The work done is not a custom tune as it becomes very expensive to do. A advance cylinder map using Tune ECU would take me a day and a half to do and will cost R6500.00. I have spent a lot of time on the 990's trying to getting rid of the snatch and have come up with a...

Rottweiler Air system. thoughts + Dyno

I like everything about the set up definitely the ease of cleaning, extra power is always a plus, the only thing I feel can be improved on is the needle of the Factory jet kit. Definitely a nice piece of kit. :thumleft:

Rottweiler Air system. thoughts + Dyno

Below are two graphs, one with Tour's bike before and after tuning with the Factory jet kit and the second between a stock bike with FMF bolt on's and Tour's bike with before and after graphs. IMO the Factory needles are too rich and I would like to tune with the stock needles and see if I can...

    XR125 Idling issue

Unfortunately you have not cleaned it properly, get yourself some compression stabilizer, remove everything from the carb. Soak whatever you have removed in the compression stabilizer and spray the rest of it through all the passages. Concentrate on the pilot circuit, by spraying through the air...

Question for the carb jetting gurus....

The easiest way to do this is take the air filter lid off and take the bike for a ride, if the problem is worse the bike is too lean, increase main jet size, if the problem improves, the bike is too rich decrease main jet size. Once the  main circuit is sorted you will then have to sort the...

Help needed post EPC and SAS removal

You mentioned that you did the clearances, so I assume you would have removed the carbs and in so doing you unplugged the TPS. Both 990 and 950 uses TPS.

    Is Cecil Penny a ****?

I reckon I have the right to refuse any work I feel is not worth doing. I generally do not refuse work,  but when I feel the job is not worth doing, I try and point  the customer in the right direction. I have done work for Deon in the past "one job I think" and if remember correctly it was a...

Help needed post EPC and SAS removal

If you removed the carbs,  check if the float bowl breathers are not stuck in the airbox. Both pipes should exit the bottom of the airbox.
