The view from the main building is spectacular. As the sun was heading for the horison, the smoke was drifting into the sky and the whole ambience of the place started changing.

Goudkop is an amazing place as it is, but there was so much more to my stay here. I had briefly met Hennie Van Zyl at Oewerbos, on the Namibian border, and he offered me accommodation at Goudkop on his farm, which I gladly accepted, but I was not prepared for the full extent of his generosity...

The views are just spectacular.

Then I had the whole place to myself and went on a little exploration trip. The cleaning team had not been in yet, and you could see that the boys were in town, but the photos give a better perspective of the facilities.

I went on a game drive. A whole hillside of Eland.

There was a group of young men at Goudkop from all over to spend some boys time and watch the rugby.

Back to Goudkop Bush Camp.

That is one helluva long way to walk to the outhouse.

There is a nice little gravel road along the coast.

Elands Bay

31 July 2021 Decided to visit Elands Bay.

Hi Mike, back in PE. Arrived Sunday evening. I have been away for so long with no incidents, but today they decided to break into my house and steal my TV, and completely destroy 2 doors.. $&!*, I am pissed off, welcome back to good old SA.

My steak and chips arrived, they even specially opened their bar to get me some beers and ice, so it was supper and a beer with a spectacular view, before bed time.
