I'm on my second pair of Sidi's. The first pair is now 11 years old and still used whenever I know I'll get dirty. They are the most comfortable dirt touring boots, offers decent protection and they are waterproof.

I would first check if it's not the way you change gears with bulky boots that hits the sidestand just enough to engage the switch.

On the F800 they are behind the clutch basket. Relatively inexpensive and easy enough to replace once you get past removing and refitting the clutch.

I can relate to this. I've never won any bike race nor belonged to a club but I don't own a car. I would say bikes are a passion for me in my own way.

I like the look and it would make a great replacement touring with pillion bike. However, I do not see such new bike in my future, the price of these are far beyond what I keep in savings so I'll keep my old one.

You can use it on a maximum of 10 VIN's. This one has 8 left so should still be fine for any hobbyist with a few bikes. Considering the price new, a definite bargain!
