Just read this entire thread; my 2c worth of a similiar issue. On my then new 640, for many many weeks, on deceleration-slow down-braking, the bike would cut out. Would start eventually, unless i killed the battery. Ended up being a minutely exposed connector terminal on the rear tail light...
