It fits really well, I have the AXP bashplate and it fits perfectly,with the open horn bit facing down - also means no dirt and water will get into it, it's well protected.

I just fitted the Oxford Foghorn hooter to my 890, damn that thing is loud - no more taxis not hearing the stock hooter - a bargain at R295 and it fits straight onto the stock hooter bracket, you just need to split the cable connector to get the 2 connections on. I also looked at the Denali one...

Absolutely, that's my intended use - whether one has an InReach or cellphone signal there's little chance of having much success with the emergency services. The last incident was just outside Cullinan, took them over 3 hours to get there, their protocol is to send you a link via SMS / WhatsApp...

I drilled holes into mine, at least then you can get in to remove some of the dirt. I since replaced it with the Vanasche one, main reason was the addition of the case saver and its a lot easier to get the grit out.
