My old man had two over the years. Tried a few other bikes in between the two, and bought another one because he loved it so much. They were comfortable, quick and surprisingly agile given their size. And the 1400 motor with pipes sounds sick

Sorry guys, no RR. Had some crap that cut my trip short on the bike. Landed up camping, hiking and climbing in the Cederberg instead. I will still do the pan, soon hopefully

The MT21 front, D606 rear is my choice on my XR650l and I'm sure it would work well on the 400 as well

Dewald, if I did the Baviaans route (which I still want to), the idea was to pop past and say howzit. But we will make a plan. Route is plotted and bike just needs to be packed and off I go to Cederberg Oasis later today for my first nights stop. Hopefully all goes well and I can post a lekker RR.

So I had some last minute leave approved for next week and thought stuff it, I'm doing a bike trip. My first thoughts were to head to Baviaans, but it looks like I wont have enough time to enjoy it, so plan B is Verneupan. Any suggestion of must do roads/passes to do on the way up from Cape...

Don't forget the transalp, my vote goes for one of these or a DL. Depending on what you can find on the market
