Seems some people think every country in America is the USA. :ROFLMAO: Baja California is still in the country of Mexico.... ;) Its one of the safest parts of Mexico as well. Going through the border up in Sonora or Chihuahua is a different thing altogether, very few even come south that way...

Totally amazing place to ride, but also extremely dangerous in some provinces unfortunately. She's taking a huge gamble but I also respect her for doing it.

On the stage being cancelled for safety: This is normal on the Dakar, stages have been cancelled or cut short due to various safety reasons pretty regularly since the very early days. Not the first time a stage was cancelled because the road book was no longer accurate due to changed conditions...
