    Where are these old faithfuls?

This. Now and then I am here. Hey Dorsland! I'm still riding though! :ricky: EXC 350 in the mountains of Honduras. I have thought about to posting a RR on Honduras, but I dunno if anyone reads those anymore. ::) And tomorrow I am buying a 990 in Peru. Plan to do some DS riding there...

I'll raise a glass for Klomper in about an hour from now. Can't believe how time marches on.

    Dakar 2020

After Paulo died, I just lost all enthusiasm. Now no road books. One country event in a place where basic human rights don't exist. Nail in the coffin. African Eco seems to be the event to go to.

    Dakar 2020

What has always made the Dakar so incredibly hard is the liaisons which are mostly speed controlled, monotonous rides. Imagine riding for 4-7 hours before racing, or racing for 5 hours and then having to hang that throttle hand for a similar amount of time afterwards. Its wearing on the body and...

    Dakar 2020

Carlos Sainz I wager was being his usual precious self: He was probably 500m behind Nasser pinging all the way because of the dust, so he ran to tell the PC he was "troubled" by the very nasty, naughty Nasser ;D

    Dakar 2020

I have a good feeling about Ross. With those times, I think he is sorting out the boys on the navigation. There's an outside chance the whole front group get the navi wrong agains a few time in what is left in this rally and Ross could catch up that lost time. I can dream, right?

    Dakar 2020

Boy what a day! As usual the Dakar creates a huge upset on day 3. I hope Special Branch tough's its out tonight and starts tomorrow. He does indeed look to be a little bit sore and his goggles on and head down at the refuel says a lot. Maybe his team have some of those really special tablets...

    Dakar 2020

Exactly. he had two great days, but after what 15-20hrs or more in the saddle over the past 60 or so, I would imagine its easy to make a mistake especially when you are on the sharp end. A little bit like golf, except instead of ****** shot you're flying off the bike. Have to pace oneself, and I...

    Dakar 2020

You just have to concentrate and ride slower if need be. 100% in the riders hands. In mining we say drive to the road conditions and that includes a RB. If you are not sure just take it easy. Of course its not easy to do in a race, but its very sweet when you navigate well past much faster...

    Dakar 2020

Ag no man Ross. Its a long race. Hopefully he can nurse this one in and recover. Happens often to 2nd stage winner unfortunately. Sam, Bang Bang, Ze Helio to mentioned a few. Now Ross. :(

    Dakar 2020

Kirsten doing very well in the end riding steadily climbing 16 places to 97th. :hello2: Stuart Gregory as well finishing up 28 places in 84th!  :hello2: I see Bang Bang must have made a navigation error or crashed because he was the only one faster than Ross right up to Wp4 and then he...
