Welcome. if you take advice from another newby - you've invested significantly in a very nice and capable bike. Consider doing an ADV course and learn basics (again). Build skills in the correct order and in a safe (and fun) environment.
Welkom @Partyhamster ! Rumour has it dat @Fillmore maar stadig ry en sy Dakar slaap graag in die sand! Nog 'n man om te help optel sal great wees!!!! Laat dit juig!
Sal great wees om 'toevallig' in die area te wees, maar lyk my die BMW tannies gaan dalk die pret bederf? Wat as ek identifiseer as 'n KTM ryer op my Dakar?
I have an AGM in my Dakar, didn't like the idea of possible acid leaking out. fitted about 14 months ago, so too soon to say if it is a good battery. Never let me down, but I have a smart charger when bike is in the garage as I am not a daily rider.
Stock Dakar exhaust is super heavy, so besides weight, freed up space for a tool tube and titanium doesn't get super hot. BUT, the Akra without muffler is just too load for town riding. @Malmoer made a muffler of sorts, but can feel effect on power
Well done @Malmoer en die ander op die groep wat deelgeneem het. Kan nie wag om op te vang oor 'n koffie en al die details te hoor nie. Moenie maak asof jy werk nie, ek weet jou kop is nog op Trophy ;)
I heard informally (via @Malmoer) that Postal route was closed due to farmers getting fed up with getting pulled into helping extract injured bikers or broken bikes. Not sure how one can confirm the do's and don'ts - any advice from other dogs?
Hi All, I am going to trailer my bike up to WARR. My trailer is a single bike trailer, but if someone wants to join, we can maybe rent a bigger trailer and share costs. Planning to leave from Langebaan. Blesssings
