If you want a really nice alternative, go from either Ladygrey or Barkley East to Rhodes, then Naude`s Nek. From there take the Pitseng road to Mount Fletcher or to Maclear. Just ask the locals in Rhodes about the condition of the Pitseng road. It varies on a monthly basis.

Has anyone done Antoniesberg Pass recently? I have done it quite a few times, but planning a trip in vehicles and travelling from Steytlerville. I know the climb out requires a bit of momentum on a bike because of loose rock, but it changes after rain and looking a inexperienced drivers in 4x4`s.
