Looking for a Xchallenge air box lid.

Hi Mark I have the TT tank as well. It clashes with/interferes with/collides with the air filter cover. You get to fit either one or the other, not both. I use a Unifilted prefilter, which still looks rather exposed but it works brilliantly. The main Unifilted airfilter is always clean.

    The BMW X-Challenge Thread

Yeah, long shot I know, but does anybody have a set of pillion footpegs for the X-Challenge that they no longer need? Apparently the friendly bike registration officials here have a predictable habit of insisting that a pair is fitted, and pointing out that the bike did not come out of the...

    Opinions on XR250L....

Cool little bike. I have heard that some parts for the electric start version can be a bit of a challenge to find. I might be wrong.

    BMW G650 X-Challenge (SOLD)

Hi there, the seat is not as bad as you might think but I will definitely not take a trip to Cape town with this bike. :-) The furthest I've done on one day is about 380km. The awesome thing about this bike is that I can go 10 times further on gravel road than on tar roads. Tar roads and...

    Duplicate registration papers in Gauteng

I put the registration papers of my bike in a safe place. They are not lost; that would be irresponsible. However, I do not remember where the safe place is, which presents a small problem. So - the bike is registered in Gauteng, in my name. I am not in the country right now. Does anybody know...

New Xchallenge owner, need exhaust urgently

I can't help with any loans, but welcome to the XC owners club  That plastic chain cover that came with the bike was a pain. Mine got caught up in the chain a few times, and chewed up. I threw it away because I considered it more of a safety hazard having it on than having it off -...

    Zumu 660 Media Connection

The 660 doesn't exactly manage the various music files elegantly. It has no concept of folders, only Artist and Genre. If you want anything other than a flat list, you'll need to set those as attributes on the mp3 files. When you figure out how to do that, let me know. I gave up, and now just...

    MotoGP 2018.

VR bitching about MMs attitude in coming to apologize, with team mates and cameras in tow, is a bit hypocritical. I recall VR taking out Casey Stoner a few years ago. Very similar incident, actually. VR appeared to misjudge a pass, and the result was that he ended Stoner's race, but carried on...

Uvex Carbon vs Desert Fox Carbon

I replaced my Uvex with a Desert Fox after an “incident”, and I must say I prefer the Desert Fox. The visor is better, the peak doesn’t rattle, and I find it more comfortable. Don’t mind me, I’m just talking kak about the cheaper non-carbon helmets, in a thread about carbon helmets. Duh!

The little set of fuses on the right hand side, under the front of your seat - pull out the 10A fuse. The fuses are (in order): ABS (10A) EMCU (15A) Lo Beam (7.5A) Brake, horn, dash diag (7.5A) Hi Beam (7.5A) Starter, indicators, diag (7.5A) and three spares at 90 degrees down the side.
