I also like the barkbusters, mainly 'cos I've already bought them and they were reasonably priced. BTW, I fitted Runner's bashplate yesterday (sorry no pics yet) and it's a mean mutha piece of aluminium that certainly looks the business â?? I feel much better knowing it covers the exposed bits...

Heh heh... Maybe you just have enough personal padding  ;D Seriously though, I battle two up mainly because there's no room to adjust as you're wedged between the tank and pillion, one up is much better. And I agree, the best Adventure bike IMHO â?? everything I want out of a bike within reason.

Hi Johan, The screen and aluminium bashplate both from Conrad (Runner) 012 333 6443. Screen was about 1200 and bashplate 1600.

Also fitted the Motechs, they are helluva sturdy â?? as you say, gives you peace of mind. They are quite heavy though, I reckon a good 5-6ks of extra weight. But I'll take that any day over thousands of ZAR for replacement plastics and/or fooked engine!

Glad to hear you're okay! In Africa whoever has the biggest vehicle wins; these okes don't give a damn. We have to ride as if we're at the bottom of the food chain, just above a bicycle. The problem is when you're sitting staionary, you're a sitting duck.
