Thanks Dion, I will keep an eye out on the ignition problem. I recall seeing pictures of a broken Xchallenge ignition assembly somewhere. Are they not easily repairable?

And like a fool, I only had one key cut. I will get two more and tape one to the bike in a safe place for just in case.

Great report. Wish I could have joined you for the day. The 380 degree drone pictures are amazing. I went up in December and there was a lot less loose rocks & stones. Possibly try to arrange another Sani trip before the year is out, depending on work commitments? Cheers Mark.

Sorry, I can't help. I am in the same boat at the moment. I bought the bike and it had the original exhaust on which had been gutted. It is so loud that I haven't been riding the bike. Just received a slip on from Stealth Exhausts and hope to have it fitted soon. Will let you know of the outcome.

Hi, I bought this bike from a guy in Toti last year at the end of November 2017. The attached picture of the bike is one which I found on the internet while looking for a screen. I was wondering if this bike used to belong to anyone on the WD forum.

Just make sure that your one has two screw holes in the bottom of the front fender. Some of the earlier 2013 models only had one screw in the bottom on either side.

That's the reason I would like something like that. Cover all the existing gouges and help protect against new ones.

Your sticker kit on the tank seems to be holding out pretty well. Did you fit it or did it come with the bike?

Bought one in December. My mate had just bought one, and while on Gumtree, I saw one for sale in Toti. Came with Touratech tank and a variety of other farkles. And there went my bonus. :thumleft:

Has any one had a spare key made for the XC or bought one from the agents?. I need a spare for just in case, but the agents want R500  for one. Then I think it still has to be cut. I don't think they are coded, so a local key smith should be able to make one.

I have heard all one needs to do to remedy the stiff throttle on the X Challenge is to unclip one of the springs on the throttle body. Which one is better to unclip?. The inner or outer spring?
