I have a similar problem when riding my DR as well. I have some nerve damage in my left hand so it is weaker than it should be. As 2SD mentions about the angle, I find if I rotate the clutch lever downwards it makes a big difference.

Hi Twinman, I bought a pair a few months ago and so far I am impressed with them. Seem like good quality and well made for the money. I have probably just done less than 1000Km with them, but they are holding up well and seem comfortable enough.

I see she also has it advertised on the FB Meerkat bikes & gear site. Possibly leave a message there as well.

Thanks Buff. I have just spoken to the guys at Perry and they say that I can bring it in next week & they will check valve clearances and the rocker arms.

Little update. Rode the bike to Perry Bikes this morning. The mechanic said that it is normal and started another 2016 model for comparison. Sounds the same. Stopped in at KTM Durban of the way home and same story. Now I'm happy. :) (y)

One more thing to add. I hear of many complaints of the motors being noisy on start up, until the oil pressure starts the cam chain tensioner working properly. My one however is very quiet on start up and only gets noisy after about 30 seconds. Arse about face.

I noticed that Dan. When I pull the clutch in there is more rattling. The bike only has just over 10 000km. When I got it it seemed much quieter. I had my ears syringed recently. Maybe that's the problem. :)

Thanks teebag. Yes it does have the adjustment switch under the seat. I am just a little concerned that the motor is a bit noisy.

It is a pity that you never got to test the bike with the dongle working. I fitted one a few weeks back and can't believe the difference it has made.
