Here is a picture what I have done. I fitted some exhaust header protector over the exhaust wrap. My link pipe is extremely close to the fuel tank. A bit of a worry but so far no problems.

I used some of that cloth exhaust tape which you can get from any auto shop and two stainless hose clamps. Just wrap it from the joint up to the base of the silencer. Keeps the heat off your legs and the fuel tank.  Great looking bike.  :thumleft:

Here is the screen that I fitted. Comes from Screens for Bikes in Australia.  Riding at 120 km/h seems quite stable with no buffeting.
