    MotoGP 2024

This is getting ridiculous ....... relying on technology to overcome their inability to ride well. Or blaming technology for their inability to ride well.

Is the leisure bike market in SA dying ?

Plenty bikes here in the UK ............. at least, where I live. All shapes and sizes but mainly tourers. But, yes, it's an effort to get a license and there's no off-road riding like back home. I see it more as an attack on anything dangerous, not just bikes. What chance do bikes have where...

Can’t get the key into the seat lock

Been through the petrol tank lock drama years ago - my advice would be to open that lock and remove the fingers.

    Pointers Please....KTM 950 vs 990

Late model 950 or late model 990 Which 990 had the front fork issue, leaking at the axle hole? Thats a kak one. TPS,throttle bodies seems like a rabbit hole problem. Fuel pump, teabag issue. Both have shitty battery and cable issues, 950 may be worse coz of age. Actually, the issues are many...

    Around The World bike choice?

That was my exact KLR when I first got it ...........................that same reliable bike blew a hole in an intake valve, in the arse-end of the Transkei. Snapped a sub-frame and lost power to the starting circuit on day 1 of the Amageza. 950 did the same sort of thing in the past...

    Adjusting Pre-load

Ah, OK, that makes sense. I'll have a close look one day and see that in motion. I don't have a problem with pre-load but handy to know about how to add oil. I had the shock out recently to replace bushings, I should have looked then. In my head I'm toying with lowering the bike. I already have...

    Adjusting Pre-load

Out of interest .................... How does pre-load adjustment work on a 950/990? What is adjusted when the knob is turned, it seems gas related? I'm assuming there is some sort of air spring inside the shock and not just damping. Or is it adjusting oil levels?

    Any LC8 commuters?

Hmm, never thought of that. I can confirm the S seat gets uncomfortable pretty quickly. I use an Airhawk for long tar riding. Maybe a standard seat will do me better.

    CFMoto in SA

I'll check the 650, it's virtually the same height. There aren't any 450s around. No demos even. Looks like SA is ahead of the game, compared to the UK. First bikes due here next year April.
