Not keen on planning trips like that .................... not really keen on planning at all. It's a car, not an enduro bike. Much better to not plan, just go. When you feel like it, pull into a garage and spend a couple minutes putting petrol in. Takes longer to pay than to fill up.

First time I've watched WSBK today, for a few years. Was getting boring with Rea winning everything. But it seems it's back where I remember it. And it's time to dump motoGP anyway, coz that's getting boring. I don't like mixing my drinks, so will give it a few races and see.

Was speaking to an Uber driver yesterday, in the UK, electric very popular here for taxis, etc. However, he reckons using them for long runs on the highways, diesel is cheaper. Maybe only in the UK, but these guys drive for a living and crunch the numbers constantly. We do have a night time...

I'm keen on a trade in, here in the UK, but haven't seen one and no demo near me. Any pics of the higher seat? Very tempted to put my name down. Existing 950S is tall, and an airhawk cushion makes it worse. Puts me off solo, tech riding.

Funny you mention the battery, I've been thinking along the same lines. Since it's the same as the 950, it should suffer the same problems. ie. : - Loose connections, loose earths, battery cables getting damaged due to vibration/fatigue, etc., crappy regulator. It leads to erroneous happenings...

Due to the height on the S I lowered my suspension. Dropped the pre-load to 0 to ride lower in the stroke. Strangely, gave me about 1/3 sag, which is pretty much the same as my off-road bikes. Lowered the front through the forks, dropped pre-load, etc to match it. It got me closer to the floor...

Did you also race both ways, left and right? Monkey nuts :ROFLMAO:

You need to see them racing grass track ..... makes speedway look tame. A popular form of racing here in the farmlands. Those 500cc bikes are brutal.

Must be lekker when you see Bradl on a bike ....... you just know you'll never come last.

I'm following all this 800 stuff ..................... I'm severely tempted to pass the 950 on and get something more manageable. If that screen can display a GPS track, then it's a win.

I remember riding those flat sands leaving Puros?, on the WR450. Not at full speed but enough to get sqiggly, maybe 130 or so. Rowan came floating past me and that Kove was planted. I could have speeded up but I'd be looking for shit. I was riding the best weapon, he was riding the best...

My initial enquiries show I can buy the OEM kit for about R2k or more, in the UK. Seems a bit heavy for something I don't need. What's the cost in SA? Similar?
