Not saying that your thinking is wrong, but I don't think you know that stretch of road. I'll try to explain. From where the trucks came it's a downhill, as you can see they approach a sharpish right corner/turn in the road, on the video it does not appear that it is such a sharp corner/turn...

Some of the passes are currently in a very bad shape, 4X4 recommended. A 2X4 will only worsen the roads that's already stuffed. A car will not make Volunteershoekpass, neither TTT, not in the current condition.
