yes, that is why one of the first things I did was change the standard starter to a starter from a truck...much better... the diff lock in the rear was for its day a mechanical marvel. they don't come tougher !

I too have bought from gumtree too with great results...but the reality is that there are a lot of chancers out there that are potential traps to those that do not have a good knowledge or are over keen. very few adds out there are 100% true. Just because he says he never raced and thrashed it...

2nd hand dirt bikes from gumtree and others have the potential to disappoint big time. I would only buy a 2nd hand MX or enduro dirtbike from a professional shop that gives a guarantee. This is more valid the older the bike on offer ! It will cost more initially but is less likely to granade on...
