Cheap robust cell for use as a GPS.

Any smart phone these days will give you a position fix to plot on a chart. No need to be robust, keep it in your pocket or luggage. Unless you want to follow your plot on maps. Live. And then maybe load custom off-road or Topo maps. And then maybe have them route able for trip planning, etc...

    VIN nommer asseblief.

Total parts tracking. I had to give a vin to buy a screen mount. The more info on the bike history, the better it is for the next guy. And the resale value. And the brand image. There are a dozen reasons why it would be great to be able to track parts acquisitions on a vehicle... Except if...

    VIN nommer asseblief.

It swings both ways - like when you want to buy a second hand boney from an honest oke who tells you it's never been dropped, but the dealer can tell you that a new front end was ordered 6 months ago. There's a method to the madness

superbikeaccessories.co.za sourced me a set of shorty levers for 750 bucks, they brought them in as a one-of on their next shipment from wherever they got them. He f*%&ED up..... Now we need to rent a bike

Of course the reverse happens just as often - applying lube to the threads of a blind hole instead of the bolt, causing a hydraulic lock in the hole and under-torque. Cap nuts are good for that

He f*%&ED up..... Now we need to rent a bike

Another factor to consider is lubing a thread and applying a dry torque value, which will result in significant over-torque

    1969 Yamaha 175 Enduro …

The Roberts family. No idea what became of them, my gran sold up and moved to Cathcart early 80's. Disappointed we were, spent many a good school holiday down there.

    1969 Yamaha 175 Enduro …

Sugar cane farmer in Pumula taught me to ride on his farm one of those in '76. Good memories. He had 4 kids and a bunch of bikes in the barn. 5 minutes of dual instruction and then "off you go, come back when you need more petrol". What a legend. He's the reason I still have to hide parts money...
