This was the road...not the worst of it as this was manageable rock. The sand washaways were at times 2m deep, and single track footpaths went through the reeds around them. Mates 950 was tired and needed to rest...

Not sure if this road being mentioned is the same one as per this pic. It starts at the Heuningvlei backpackers ....just did it this past weekend. What a ride! But it is tough and I would not advise its done alone. Google says a car can drive down there....I would like to see this vehicle!

Ja, the main oil screen had some VERY minor bits in it. This bike did eat its clutch prior to the last oil change, and the get me home (off a horrid pass in Free State) involved duct taping clutch plates to increase thickness...it worked. New clutch did come with new oil and filter but its not...
