But years ago friends of mine circumnavigated OZ two up on a 200cc bike. They enjoyed the trip so much that they decided to settle there. They do successful farming north-east of Sydney now...

The rest I've done over the years, but not all by bike. Some with a 4x4, and always in good weather conditions.
I think the Norden is absolutely overpriced. Here in Europe the price is nearby 270,000 Rand :xxbah:
IMHO the Ténéré is by far the better choice....

The 390 is manufactured in India. I did a short test ride with this bike and must say it was quite an experience. It is light, goes like hell, was fairly comfortable even for my size (1.83m) and it felt like a real motorbike. It doesn't feel like a thumper at all. I suppose the modern...

Again on two wheels up the Sani. The old fart on the left is me, the other my nephew. The climb wasn't the problem, but having passed the SA police downhill I checked the brakes. The front brake disc was blueish :o :P
