    Messing up a tyre change

Right, it seems I was on the right track I just did it wrong, but more importantly, my tyre levers aren't the greatest. With some guidance from a member here I (we...) managed to get it changed. Before I tackle the rear I'll be investing in better levers. Thanks for all the tips, advice etc. ...

    Messing up a tyre change

Archangel, correct, it's a K60. But is the front also difficult? Re your suspicions; 1. Valve stem is out, so tube is deflated. 2. I'm fairly sure the beads are completely broken, but will make sure, and I'll try and get both beads in the well. Thanks all.

    Messing up a tyre change

Thanks all for the replies. I thought I had it right, and Xpat seems to also do it this way. But reading Jughead's reply, it makes sense, so will try it this way  :thumleft: Jughead, thanks for the response. Will check out the other thread.

    Messing up a tyre change

It's a Heidi K70, so ought not be a problem. I think my problem might be pushing the tyre down to far with my knees, pressing it past the centre of the rim. I'll lube it up, and try again tomorrow - evening plans are interfering now... Cheers

Afternoon, I've decided to change my tyres myself, seeing as I've never done it - and luckily never had a puncture, so need to before. But I thought best I get some practice since my luck will run out sometime. Started off with the front, reckoning it will be easier than the rear. Tube...

Agree. AVB can just wait for Bort and then sit on his tail. Kevin will have to maintain some pace though. PS: How's Singapore. Busy yet?

    Dakar 2018

5 minutes to go  :sip: I think today's stage will set up the top 3 - JBB will have to hammer it if he wants to be on the podium.
