2 pronged Kobus, 1, financing a tiny home is almost impossible even though its half the price of the caravan and bigger. Then secondly timing, it takes time to set up for a full house so in time the plan is to yes get a tiny home. Financed the caravan, will then sell it after say 3 or 4 years...

Spend the last few days installing the inverter and testing everything, from the washing machine to the microwave (big current draws!). all seems to work well. For now, I am just running an extension from the inverter, but the long-term plan is to rewire the external plug-in point to the...

Time flies! Which I could find a decent F150 here in NZ Funny how first world countries have other ways to screw you. Lots of saffers and kiwis fly to SA or the Philippines to get dental work done as its the same down here.

Fittings arrived today and I installed an inline filter before the pump as well. Tested, small leak but just had to tighten the clamps. Now all good and can fill my tanks (and did to test). Now just need to install the toggle switch and build a mount for the panel and it will be good to go.

I ended up finding 10mm to 12mm converters from an irrigation company and they got delivered today so will be fixing up my solar pump this week. Also spent the weekend upgrading my battery cabling to 2 x 35mm runs and running it into the caravan where I installed a smart shunt and an isolation...

Countries with the most motorcycles in the world..

India with a pop of 1,5bil, thats still only about 15% of the pop, where Indonesia only has a pop of 275mil, so that's about 41%, 60% for Vietnam, 62% for Taiwan. I think the %'s are a clearer picture.

I did just that xD found a 10/13mm adaptor at an irrigation store as testing it yesterday it leaked exactly where @Mr Zog said it would....lol that said, the pressure and pump performed well and now I can fill my water tanks. I also got an inline filter to install before the pump just to...

Thanks Zog. I'll keep looking for a better solution...time is against me but once I'm there full time I'll reconfigure it. I was thinking of using a heat gun to stretch the onesie of the 10mm to 12mm as the system won't really be under high pressure?

It's funny how motivated one gets to not be in the same house as a liar and cheater....used it to get lots done today. Grey water system I expanded the hole to make sure water has more space to soak into the ground. Then layered the bottom with stone and drilled holes into the drum. I then...

First of 2 holes dug - need to make it a tad deeper and bigger still to fill it with volcano rock and wrap it all in non woven geotextile fabric. Then plum it up and my grey water system will be sorted

The exposed pipe (running up the tank) is insulated but under ground pipes generally don't freeze. Although we get -3 sometimes -4, its short lived and the ground itself does not freeze, so its more the exposed pipes that's a problem. That said, we will find out the first winter xD. I need to...
