I've been stopped a few times in SA on a foreign licence, never any issue. I was driving a locally registered car and also a foreign car on today occasions.

We exchanged our OZ licence to SA licence in 2012. Did it at the traffic department in durbanville. It was a fairly easy process if I recall correctly. Some photos, eye test, a few forms and received our a few weeks later. No idea if anything changed since that.

That will be great, thanks. A friend 3d printed some spacers. Works OK for now. Just fiddly on the one side because u have a Scott oiler fitted on the frame. Had to move it a bit. Will see how it goes.

@Noneking ,where on the frame did you actually attach the clips when you had this on yours. I'm just bought one and struggling to find appropriate place for the small clips. Just seems a bit awkward on the frame.

Optimate. My friend have one which he has been using for the last 15 years or so with no issue. I bought the optimate 6 about a year ago. So far no complaints, does the job.
