If you use the correct screw driver then it shouldn't happen. Often someone has already damaged them by using a Phillips rather than JIS. JIS will work on Phillips but not the other way around.

Correct, but this is the H2SX SE - the "touring" version. Like Manic says they only brought in these for 2018. I was told the same story regarding special order so had to buy used.

The Sutherland - Fraserburg road is tough going. Lots of washed away sections with sometimes deep mud. A few deep water crossings - the Norden's exhaust was nearly covered in one! This doesn't look too bad in the pic but this wasn't the worst I came across on Sunday.

You have a full tool kit but make sure you have the right torx bit to get the rear wheel off - I got a big hole that needed patching once and the only place in the small town I limped into that could patch the tyre was a car place. We eventually found the right size and got the wheel off but...

Like many have said, it's a long haul in a day but certainly doable. Your only real option is to slab it on the N1, which is not the greatest fun but the shortest route. As an option, you could go via Kimberley and join the N1 at 3 sisters. That road was much quieter when I used it last...

I bought a CDI from pee wee parts (http://www.pwparts.co.za/). It was some years ago that I restored it so don't remember if it was specifically for the PW80. I don't think I bought the stator kit, just the CDI.

You could also try Highway Leather in Rivonia. Used them a few times.
