Thanks all, the front tyre is pretty done. Taking it in tomorrow morning for a new one and hoping it fixes it. Did a search and it seems it can also be rebound settings, but before fiddling with that I'll do the tyre thing first.

Love that Kombi, the concrete jungle gets to me, I grew up in Namaqualand and the Boland so I like open spaces, and it allows me to have a home on wheels that lets me get out there. Did a tour with the Kombi along the East Coast last October and had so much fun.

All I need now is a co-adventurer that will drive the camper van in the back and I can go enjoy (almost) any spot in SA. If all goes well I might do a journey from PE to Port Nolloth beginning October.  :biggrin:

Thank you Mello  for your katoom insight, I tend to agree with preventative maintenance, had an Isuzu 250D which I sold with 480k km on the clock, and still till today the most reliable thing I ever had cause I serviced it religiously every 5k km. As we say in afrikaans... "die koeël is deur...
