Scored a R seat foam and cover for cheap…so far it’s an improvement but I still have to take a long ride

Can also get filter kit from Fuel Performance but the cost is equivalent to KTM. I just got the KTM kit last week because they had stock and I wanted to use the bike. Never used FP but the kits are made by Quantum

Next item of business…found a used 990R seatcover and foam that will be replacing my standard seat. Finding I am sitting too low on the standard seat which becomes uncomfortable, hope the flat seat shape improves the foot-knee angle. Also need to start looking into changing out the standard...

Some more changes between old and new it seems. Filters were filthy...no use in cleaning the teabag

Out with the old and dirty...I take it the filter hasn’t been done since the design changed, since the part nimber has changed to ....200 (vs ...100)

Pulled the pump...will break it down in the morning. Meanwhile, I found this little bugger floating around in the fuel🤔has one threaded end but can’t see it being attached to the fuel pump anywhere.

Some more work. Replacing the brake switch I broke when I did the brake master cylinder rebuild, and the fuel pump filter kit to be done. Figured at 45k it’s a good idea...will keep the old one as an emergency spare

Definitely a nice bike to keep my hands busy...and a really passionate following, so a wealth of information out there on them. Already removed sec butterflies, will probably delete the SAS next to get rid of some of the clutter. Other than that I will probably just be doing...

So after fixing what I broke the rebuild kit was quick-quick to install and bleed the brake. All feels good as it should. But I suspect the air leak may be from the reservoir top cap, will see if the problem recurs and then take it from there

Jip...that’s the plan. Soldered it successfully...working until I can get the part. A mate builds trailers and the pressure switch is a pretty standard part and dirt cheap when not bought from KTK. Will match the part and replace.

Great tip iamgigglz , will do. I take it the brake switch is similar to the one for the clutch swirltch, that one was an absolute bitch to get undone without damaging the wires, I will approach with due caution
